Crystal Cathedral is a
Protestant Christian Church in mega-city of Garden Grove in
Orange County, California. The eminent
architect Philip Johnson designed main sanctuary building that was built using over
10,000 rectangular panes of glass and
its sanctuary seats 2736 people.
The name "Crystal Cathedral" is just an alliterative colloquialism, and does not mean that the church is a cathedral in the sense of being a church where one finds abishop official residence, the Reformed Church in America covered by the elderly. The Church is a Southern California architectural landmarks.
Crystal Cathedral is known for the quality of their music program and excellent range of his musical guests. As in 2005, led by Marc Riley, Sean Groombridge and Donald Neuen music department at Crystal Cathedral. The live orchestra and choir appears weekly on the church's "The Hour of Power" broadcast and made some CD and DVD recordings.
